Day 4 Sample Sanding
The boat hull really needs wet sanding, but that's a manual process and I have so much gelcoat to take off I need to start with a machine. Tried various grits and devices until I was happy. I'm using an 8 hole 5" sander, on a vacuum, with 300 grit aluminum micro mesh sanding pads. Pretty aggressive for fiberglass. Bet I grind all the gelcoat off in a few spots, this will be interesting.
I also did some gelcoat work to plug some old screw holes in the console, and took the seat out to get new foam and a new seat cover. I went with gray rather than black, cooler in the sun.
