OK, one last post on the 2006 International Whaling Commission meeting, with a few links.

This next link is a good summary of how every country in attendance voted. This article is a little extreme for me, but it is the best voting summary I've seen, and it is interesting to see how many dive-destination countries voted with the whalers. These countries include Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Kiribati, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, the Solomon Islands, and Tuvalu. This article suggests a boycott.
